Tehran (also spelled Teheran) is one of the largest cities in the world, with a population of over 10 million people. The capital of Iran, Tehran boasts much of the commercial, manufacturing and technological activity in the country. Tehran sits at the base of the Alborz mountain range and is home to one of the most developed highway infrastructures in all of Asia.

By virtue of Iran being both one of the oldest countries in the world and home to one of the richest histories around, Tehran is the home of numerous museums, art studios, palaces as well as places of deep religious context.
