Hollywood could learn a lot from “Portal: No Escape.” This is a video game film done right, and could have gone well beyond its 7 minute run time. It’s a fresh take on the game, with its own major plot twist and compelling visual effects. Simply put, this is how its done and I want to see more. So move over Mortal Kombat, Prince of Persia and all of those other forced adaptations…make room for Chell and her never-ending struggle to free herself from the experiments of the computer AI called GLaDOS. Back in the day, I was a PC enthusiast and spent way too much money and time on building a gaming rig. The drawback was that it became too expensive to keep current. However, the advantage was that I was able to play Battlefield 2 on max settings. Let me tell you something, Battlefield 3 makes me wish I had the coin to play something other than my aging Xbox 360.
