wii-u-nintendo-online-miyamoto.jpg “I know! Let’s let the individual developers make their own online infrastructure for Wii U! What could go wrong!?”

Ugh, Nintendo really is starting to take on a grandpa image for its fear of creating a basic online infrastructure. Forget graphics and bleeding edge tech, people play Facebook games all day long because of its online community and social features…something the Wii never had, and by the looks of it won’t appear on the Wii U. That alone has me thinking that this will be the first time I skip a Nintendo home console release entirely. Learn more about Nintendo’s lack of online embrace after the jump… continue reading...

xbox360-slim-dvd-update-format-1gb.jpg Microsoft uses some ingenuity to MacGyver themselves a 15% space boost.

Have you been noticing that several games for Microsoft’s console are requiring multiple disks, using harsh compression, or simply missing content that will have to be downloaded later on? Well, Microsoft feels your pain, and is testing a “new disc format”. No, this isn’t the inclusion of “Blu-Ray” or bringing back a revised version of the trusty old HD DVD format (which they should had built in from day one, video format war or not).
