After fighting the wave of advertisements featuring Mr.T, I took it upon myself to enter the mysterious online World of Warcraft. I knew it would be an unholy pilgrimage, filled with dorm room geeks, but I had to discover what all the fuss has been about for so long.

Now, for those that don’t know, Warcraft requires a paid monthly subscription. I am currently on the 10 day free trial that everyone gets. Whether I think I will be able to escape or not will be discussed at the end of this little tangent… continue reading...

The companies behind Call of Duty and World of Warcraft are merging in a deal which could shake up the global video games industry.  Activision and Blizzard have said they will form “the world’s most profitable games business” in a deal worth $18.8bn (£9.15bn).
