Have you been sitting on the console fence waiting for a deal to arrive? Well it looks like you’ll have one week to cash in on an extremely cheap HD gaming option.
The Xbox 360 Arcade Package (no Hard Drive) will be dipping under $130 within the next week. While it’s true that it does not include a hard drive, the sheer volume of cheap hard drives available on the web on sites like Craig’s List (20 GB Drive under 20$) make for a great deal.
Keep in mind that we’re talking about the latest Jasper console (Uses less power and it more reliable), complete with HDMI output, Wireless controller and new 256MB flash memory built in.
So in addition to no hard drive you’ll need to purchase an HDMI cable (Comes with only SD cables..still, most HDMI Cables go for under $10).
Is this deal good? Well let’s put it this way, the PlayStation 3 is $300. For a comparable gaming experience it will still cost you half as much after finding a drive for online play (assuming you cheap out on drive space and don’t need blu ray)…I myself am tempted, as I would like to keep a second Xbox 360 at my girlfriend’s condo, I’m lazy like that…

This disco-inspired wii-remote knock off is the newly re-renamed “Wave” motion controller, previously known as “Arc”. Notice that it features a fresh completed original wireless nun-chuck accessory.
Well we all knew it was coming, and Sony has finally unveiled its new motion-controlled video game platform, which it will in turn market to both the casual and hardcore gaming segments. Riding Nintendo’s success, this clearly offers a more colorful option when it comes to virtual table tennis.
Apparently, the new device is expected by Sony to help it keep pace with its rivals, as Microsoft is launching its Natal gesture-based product later this year as well.
The PS3’s “Move” controller is used in combination with its Eye gaming webcam. As a result the camera translates telemetry from the glowing ball and puts the action on the screen.
Apparently, Move will be available in Australia for less than $100 US.
Sony has announced that there are 36 third-party developers and publishers behind the Move platform. And in 2010, Sony will have over 20 games out to purchase that allow you to waggle and tease the dog with… Yes, I am ready to report on dogs jumping up and attacking children for the colored ball… it’s too obvious!
I think the Wii remote and corded nun-chuck keeps me safe from dog attacks and provides me with a better means of strangling home intruders…
