A new hotel being built in Dubai, the Palazzo Versace (like the fashion house), plans to give its guests every luxury, including a refrigerated beach.  A series of tubes and pipes would be placed underneath the sand to absorb the heat.  Temperatures in this area often range between 105-122 degrees. continue reading...

So, beds are £6 (like $12-ish).  You get no breakfast, and you’d be sleeping in a nuclear bunker.  Here’s what you DO get for your money:  ear plugs to cancel noise from the ventilation system, hot water bottles (instead of central heating), complimentary slippers for walking on the icy concrete floor, and the CHANCE to take a hot morning shower (if your name gets picked, you’re in!)  By the way, it’s in Switzerland.  Cause you were gonna go, right? continue reading...
