President Obama has said that he wants to reopen the Statue of Liberty’s Crown - which looks over New York Harbor - to visitors. There are hurdles to overcome, however the idea is out there.
The Crown - as well as the Statue and Liberty Island - was closed to visitors after the Sept. 11 attacks because of security issues. The Island and the base of the statue have since reopened, however the Crown remains closed to visitors. Read more…
