Yesterday on November 19th 2010, Pat Burns passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer. Along with Dick Irvin, Pat Burns is one of only two men to have both coached the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Fitting then, that tonight one day after he passed away the two teams face off in Montreal. The league and club will use the evening to honor his legacy.

Defenseman Dion Phaneuf, acquired in a trade with the Calgary Flames last season, was named captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday.
