If there was ever any doubt that hockey players are the toughest athlete’s in all of professional sport, Travis Moen just confirmed it. After taking a skate blade to the forehead in a game earlier this week the Montreal Canadiens forward received 50 stitches to hes forehead and face and then only missed one game. Not since Clint Malarchuk got a skate across the throat has the NHL seen an incident this bloody. In a freak accident Florida Panther forward Richard Zednik was sliced open by a skate blade and bled profusely towards the end of last nights game against the Buffalo Sabres.
