It’s official: Lebron is off to Miami. Can’t blame him: nice weather, nice beaches… and two fellas named Wade and Bosh. Usually you’d expect his former owner to say “thanks for the years”. Hmm… not this time.

We all know that Tim Tebow is God’s homie and all, and that upon being drafted by the Denver Broncos in the first round of last month’s NFL entry draft he immediately became the most highly scrutinized third-string QB in the history of football despite the fact that he probably should have been drafted in the third round and converted into a tight end. But the fact that Teebs has basically created a cottage industry and sated a community-wide need by helping them purge bad memories of a frustrating since-dealt player and saving people money all at the same time? He should get Denver’s starting job just for that. continue reading...
One day, the LA Clippers will matter in the NBA. Here’s 6 reasons from TheHoopDoctors.com:

Speaking of red headed step-children…sorry, not cool? Anyways, in a draft that boasted only one clear-cut stud, the Clippers couldn’t have lucked out more when the balls fell in their lap. I mean when they were awarded the #1 Pick. After being projected as a Top-5 Pick in a very talented & deep 2008 NBA Draft Class, he was smart & mature enough to go back to the University of Oklahoma to refine his game for another year. This resulted in him winning every Player of the Year honor possible as he was a double-double machine. He even figured out how to throw down monstrous dunks while getting fouled by the backboard. Watch out NBA! He might have injured himself a little while being named the Las Vegas Summer League MVP, but this 20-year old is the future big man for the Clips. continue reading...
I still don’t understand why Wayne wanted to jump headfirst into the pressure cooker that is a head coaching job in the NHL. Especially with a team as underachieving as the Coyotes? Anyways, it should be interesting to see where he ends up now that he’s done the Team Canada thing and done the head coaching thing. Read more on his exit below from TheSportingNews.com:

Yesterday we talked a bit about the potential replacements to coach the Montreal Canadiens. We like Bob Hartley, though the more we think about it, the more we think AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs coach Don Lever might be getting a crack at it through the back door, but TheTeam990’s Tony Marinaro just threw out the following suggestions

“NFL Commissioner Goodell understands how this looks. And make no mistake, image matters to the NFL. What you had here is a water balloon fight between one of the game’s greatest players and one of the league’s greatest franchises. It’s like watching a brawl in church.”
