After ending their season with an excing win after extra innings against the Detroit Tigers, the Minnesota Twins were swept by the New York Yankees.

Twin’s fans everywhere were sad to see the World Series Title lost and women fans were sad to see Joe Mauer leave home plate
until next season.

For those who have yet to hear the catcher for the twins is the new Mr. Minnesota. Born and raised in Minnesota, Mauer has become the face for the Twins. Not only is Mauer considered by many to be the best catcher of America’s past time or to be the first catcher to ever receive two batting titles (and soon possibly three), Mauer also possesses the qualities Minnesotans cherish most. He’s proper, polite and very humble… and did I mention he’s mildly good-looking and single?
