In case you haven’t heard, NASA’s space shuttle program is winding down, with the last launch set for this summer. As a result, U.S. astronauts are trying to decide what to do next. Yes, they’re left shipless like Captain Kirk in “Star Trek III: The Search for Spock”, after the Enterprise was decommissioned and he discovered that he’s turning into a relic. Somber times indeed. LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla., Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ — Walt Disney World today hosted the first official appearance of the entire crew of NASA space shuttle mission STS-118 following their return to Earth on Aug. 21. The day was dedicated to honoring the Endeavour crew and recognizing the inspirational achievement of teacher-turned-astronaut Barbara Morgan.

Disney’s Epcot and Magic Kingdom theme parks were the backdrop as cheering park guests and school children interacted with the astronauts and witnessed history in the making.
