Know for his wild predictions, and outrageous public statements, televangelist Pat Robertson is no stranger to controversy. His views on religion, feminism, homosexuality and abortion have been making headlines for years.
Robertson’s latest bout with controversy came in the form of his response to the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Robertson claims that the devastating disaster stems from the Haitian people’s “pact with the Devil”, which he describes they made in exchange for their freedom from French slave owners back in 1791. He goes on to say that the Haitian people are “cursed”and that this horrific natural disaster is a consequence of God’s anger with the people of Haiti for entering in an agreement with the Devil.

Whatever you do… don’t give your donations to any of Pat Robertson’s organizations. The easiest and most effective way to give is to TEXT “YELE” to 501501. A $5.00 charge will appear on your phone bill. Yele is Haitian recording artist Wyclef Jean’s charity and they are on the ground right now providing aid to the people who need it.
Together we can make things right in Haiti!
