And now, the budding Poe Boy Music Group superstar is set to take over the summer with the teaser track from his forthcoming album: “Can’t Sleep” featuring T-Pain. continue reading...
If you forget the fact that The National is one of my very favorite bands, and also forget the fact that The National seem to only release amazing music, I still knew I was going to like this song. This song was released with the videogame Portal 2 as part of the soundtrack. That’s right, they released a new song on a videogame soundtrack and it’s still amazing. A short while ago a million and forty music journos and bloggers (myself included, as you can see here) expressed well, whatever they cared to express about the fact that Metric was asked to write a song for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack and happily obliged. The better among these folks probably mentioned that the track was more or less decided upon to be the lead-off track to the album and most probably opined that this represents a stunning bit of good fortune for Metric, as the soundtrack to one of the year’s presumed biggest box office hits is almost certain to be bought and listened to by scores of people (even if they’re mostly tweens, teens, and undersexed housewives). continue reading...
