The Mountains & The Trees is a name for the music created by singer/songwriter Jon Janes from St. Johns, Newfoundland. The music mixes bits of folk and rock and quiet, delicate vocals for a sound that isn’t exactly groundbreaking, but certainly has its charms. The band’s first full length album is called I Made This For You and features today’s mp3, “More & More & More”, which I cannot stop listening to. As far as my musical tastes go, this tune seems to have the perfect balance of words and sounds where each lends itself seamlessly to the other. A six-piece indie band from St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, Hey Rosetta! is renowned for their impressive live shows. The band’s music has evolved since they started out, when most of the songs were penned by vocalist Tim Baker while isolated in his bedroom. Today we see the result of the band’s experience on the road, and the music has blossomed as a result.
