Bizarre album title, but overall, fantastic news! Here’s some more info on the new release as well as some tour dates below which are selling out fast!
Sufjan Stevens is set to release The Age of Adz, his first full length collection of original songs in five years, October 12 on Asthmatic Kitty Records. The album is available for pre-order now until September 25, with pre-orders receiving music digitally two weeks prior to the physical release date. The Age of Adz comes on the heels of Stevens’ All Delighted People EP, available for purchase now from most digital stores, and his 2009 film and musical suite The BQE. Joe Budden’s self-titled debut album went gold in 2003, earning him a Grammy nomination for best male rap solo performance (”Pump It Up”). Despite his successful debut, Budden’s sophomore album sat on the shelves at Def Jam for nearly four years; a setback that most artists would not have survived; but most artists are not Joe Budden.
Despite numerous setbacks, Jump Off Joe Budden kept very busy during those years, besides years of legal wrangling and politicking very loudly for his release from Def Jam (which resulted in a very public feud with Def Jam’s then president Jay-Z) Joe was forced to rely on a then new unproven method (Internet) to release music to his very loyal fan base and did so by releasing the critically acclaimed and highly buzzed about “Mood Muzik” mixtape series collaborating with artists such as Fabolous, Clinton Sparks and Joell Ortiz; and in the process engaging in highly publicized feuds with The Game, Prodigy and Ransom. continue reading...

It seems like Tokyo Police Club has been an “it” band for like 3 years now and they’re still riding on the buzz of a few EP’s… They’re apparently nearing completion of their first LP, but in the meantime its been the aforementioned EP’s, some scattered touring and this song, “Your English Is Good”. I believe the song will be on the upcoming debut, and if its any indication of what we can expect, then all the built up and delayed buzz for these guys will be justified. I think they’re one of the most exciting new bands out there and really can’t to hear some more from them. Do yourself a favor and check them out immediately:
