Gil Scott-Heron was an influential American Poet, Musician and Spoken Word artist.   He died on May 27th at the age of 62.   He is best known for his Spoken Word piece, “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised”, but he’s also been credited as one of the earliest forefathers and influencers of Rap music in general and his work is still sampled by artists today.   Here is his most famous work, continue reading...
