Ok, so this only happened a few days ago, but I’m going to see Pearl Jam tonight and I’m really excited and thought that this was a pretty cool performance.   Today’s Live Flashback goes back this past weekend where Pearl Jam held a festival in their own honor (and rightly so after 20 years as a band) and during the encore they played some Temple Of The Dog songs with old friend Chris Cornell.   Proper performances of this amazing song don’t happen very often.  Enjoy: continue reading...

No programmed beats, no digital effects. Just the music. And what a difference that makes! continue reading...

Chris Cornell has just premiered the video for “Scream,” the title track off of his Timbaland produced album due out next year.  Directed by Alan Ferguson (Fall Out Boy, Gym Class Heroes), the cinematic piece captures the two opposing moods of the song.  “My role in the video is performing the song in super-slow-motion,” explains Cornell.  “I’m existing in this Zen-like world, singing these song lyrics and everything going on around me is super-fast, super-chaotic, and I’m just suspended in it.” continue reading...
