Big choruses and jumping rhythms aren’t always what you expect when you hear someone described as an LA singer-songwriter. But that’s what you’ll get on Curtis Peoples’ self-titled album, out from The Control Group/Galt Line Music on August 19th. It’s got thoughtful lyrics AND power guitars. Music Connection calls it “pure pop with a classic-rock vibe.” You might call it “coffeeshop arena rock”, and Curtis may well be its only practitioner.
Listen to its ten songs and you’ll be reminded of the inspiring sounds of U2 and Bon Jovi as well as the acoustic pop of John Mayer and Jason Mraz.
