After initially releasing a hilarious trailer for the 30 minute short film called Fight For Your Right - Revisited, the Beastie Boys have put the entire video online for your viewing pleasure. Wow. Talk about your all time coolest surprise guests… Why does all the cool shit happen in New York City? In the encore of Phoenix’s Oct. 20th performance at MSG they were joined by countrymen Daft Punk in the middle of “If I Ever Feel Better” which then segued into “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” and finally a collaborative “Around The World”. They then finished the show off with an extended Daft Punk-ified version of “1901″. Not too shabby. They crowd obviously goes mental. Check out the videos from last night: continue reading...

Let’s face the facts, Justin Bieber makes horrible, horrible music. But!! It just so happens that there is actually a way to make his music listenable. All you have to do is slow it down 800% and you get an oddly beautiful, Sigur Ros-esque, ambient sound. Granted the song is now 35 minutes long, but its an amazing transformation. Somehow this was figured out by a producer named Shamantis. I know… sounds like bullshit. Here’s Bieber’s “U Smile”, just listen: continue reading...
After the disaster that was the G20 summit in Toronto a lot of people were left looking for answers. Protesting, anarchy, police brutality, violence… it was all there and on display immediately thanks to the power of Twitter and YouTube. Broken Social Scene were anonymously sent a mash-up of video and images set to the soundtrack of the song “Meet me in the bathroom” from their new album Forgiveness Rock Record. It’s quite impressive, read what the band has to say and watch the clip below: continue reading...

With the current backlash against the new MGMT album, The Ooks Of Hazzard chose the perfect time to release this cover of “Kids”. I actually like the new album Congratulations, but I’m not blind to the fact that it’s missing a lot of the charm of Oracular Spectacular. That “charm” immediately becomes apparent when you watch this video of 7 ukulele’s, 1 according and a cajon box belting out “Kids”. A truly awesome cover: continue reading...
