During an Iron Maiden (yeah, apparently they are still touring) concert in Bogotá, Columbia Saturday, riots broke out when fans tried to gatecrash.  Rioters and police clashed, and over 100 people were arrested.  Police used tear gas, and one officer was injured when fans started throwing rocks.  It has sparked a local debate on whether the area should host future heavy metal concerts.  Read more…

Former front man of highly successful pop duo, Savage Garden, has been arrested after being suspected of racially abusing an employee at a Thai restaurant.

While Darren Hayes is cooperating with the police, his solicitor denies the incident, claiming, “Anyone who knows Darren will recognize that the particular nature of the allegation is totally abhorent to him and contrary to everything for which he has stood.” continue reading...
