Epic, grandiose, textured… the first tune “World Sick” from Broken Social Scene’s new album is pretty stunning, yet almost exactly what you’d expect from this wily group of musicians. Expectations are pretty high for the new album titled Forgiveness Rock Record and based on this first song it appears that fans need not worry. The “band” has been pared down to about 6 regulars but the record features guest performances from many of the past contributors including Feist and Emily Haines. The record comes out May 4th… everyone is very excited… listen to the new song!
