1. When did you first realize that you wanted to pursue a career in music? Was there an epiphany or has music always a part of your life?
Emii: Music has always been a part of my life; I’ve been drawn to it since a very young age.

2. Tell us about your first live performance. What goes through your head right before you walk on stage?
Emii: My first live performance that I can personally recall consists of my five year-old self climbing unexpectedly onto a stage to randomly sing in front of hundreds of strangers.  I knew then, as I know now, that the stage is my home. 

3. Tell us about your latest recording. Where did your inspiration come from? What do you find to be the best environment to create music?
Emii: “Magic” was a sensual experience, an energy-filled recollection of intense personal events.  The best environment for creating music is born purely of the inspiration to create.

4. Is there a particular song that you hold dear? Why?
Emii: “My Zombie Boyfriend”, as lighthearted as it is, has important moments of my past woven into its lyrics and music; The inspiration for this song came at a very pivotal time in my life.

5. You recently worked with Adrian Gurvitz, tell us about that experience!
Emii: He is the most intensely creative person I know, and he gives every ounce of his soul to music.  There is no one like him, and it was an honor to rock out with him on this album.

6. What one word best describes Emii?
Emii: I can’t limit myself with one word.  Next question.

7. If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing?
Emii: Something dangerous.

Emii:

9. What would be your dream collaboration and why?
Emii: I’m working on making that dream collaboration a reality.  It wouldn’t be as fun if I told you what it was. 

10. So, what is next for Emii?
Emii: Sharing my music with the world; My first single “Magic” will be released on April 6th.  Much more to come…
