About Cash Cash
This charismatic band is currently riding the wave of their insatiable hit “Party In Your Bedroom,” thanks to the turbo-charged chemistry supplied by brothers Jean Paul Makhlouf (vocals, guitar) and Alex Makhlouf (keyboards, programming), and the band’s riveting rhythm section: Sam Frisch (bass, vocals) and Anthony Villacari (drums, percussion).
Hailing from Roseland, New Jersey, Cash Cash has seeded their close-knit camaraderie with an interchangeable musical DNA that reaches all the way back to Jean Paul’s and Sam’s third grade roots. Known for fusing 70s pumped-up funk vapors into infectious 80s-styled pop, the group’s harmony-anchored hooks sealed their appeal, with the band inking a deal with Universal Republic Records in early 2008.
Ratcheting up gleeful gems such as “Breakout,” and “Two Days Old,” Cash Cash relies on a relentless connectivity that powers both their live shows and sizzling studio efforts that has seen them win over online fans and club-goers across the U.S. The band just wrapped up a successful tour with dance-pop hypsters Metro Station and Tyga. The group will be be heading back to their native New Jersey on December 20 to perform in South Hackensack, NJ. Scheduled to continue their live trek, the band will launch the release of their debut heading out on tour with the Millionaires. The tour kicks off on January 21st in Bakersfield, CA and runs through February 19th wrapping up in San Diego, CA.

Gang Starr fans and followers of Hip-Hop already know the name Krumb Snatcha. From his “Snatcha Season Pt.1″ EP with songs like “Hip Hop” and the industry critique “Gangsta Disease,” to his duet with M.O.P. on the Oscar award winning movie “Training Day” soundtrack only served to solidify his position, setting the stage for his first full length album “Respect All Fear None” on D&D Records in 2002. Yet, Krumb’s profile went national thanks to his appearance on “Make Em Pay” from Gang Starr’s classic opus “Moment Of Truth” a buzz starting appearance that lead to Krumb being chosen as the first independent artist to receive the prestigious award of The Source Magazine’s “Hip Hop Quotable” for his verse on “Make Em Pay” which propelled him in the spotlight to release “Closer To God” produced by none other then the legendary DJ Premier.
While Krumb has been under the radar for a minute, thanks to a slew of guest appearances on albums by Guru of Gang Starr, Pete Rock, Beatminerz, Funkdoobiest, ED OG, Termanology, Teflon, Afu Ra, Craig G, Tony Touch etc., an appearance in the motion picture “Urban Massacre” and his DJ Green Lantern hosted mixtape release entitled “You’ll See” he is now positioned to release his best work to date “Hidden Scriptures” (which will be released on 3-10-09). With production by names like Pete Rock, Large Professor, Beatminerz, Statik Selektah and 3 time DMC champion DJ Ace and with a lead off single “Feeling” by Beatminerz, and “Mind Power” by Large Pro that have garnered raves, Krumb is sure to please his old fans and acquire new ones with “Hidden Scriptures.”
From the streets of “Lawtown” to new found label Str8up Entertainment, Krumb is back with a new sound and moniker on “Hidden Scriptures.” It’s the rebirth of K.S. and the death of Krumb, as stated in his song “Begins” produced by the legendary Pete Rock as he explains “The vibe was totally different on this one Krumb explains. I wanted to show everyone the other side of me. I feel like I’ve been walking in the dark for to long and I wanted to give the people my inner me.”
With such much turmoil in the music industry today, Krumb feels that with all that has happened in the last year alone, music and its artists should set a new tone by educating fans and picking more social topics that are relevant to people today as he laments “Music should give people a mood. Whether it’s a dark one, or an uplifting one, it should explain the matters of heart”. Further, as we get ready to embrace Barack Obama as our President, Krumb wanted to add on to the movement without getting too political. “This album was not to offend anybody, its sole purpose is to inspire. I believe with this contribution fans can see more to the artist than just skills, we are human too” states Krumb.

“The Lovers, The Dreamers And Me,” Jane Monheit’s eagerly anticipated new CD, is set for release on Concord Records January 20th, 2009.
An ode to songwriters past and present whom Monheit greatly admires, “The Lovers, The Dreamers And Me” is a sumptuously sung passionate song cycle of 13 tracks produced by jazz veteran Matt Pierson. “The Lovers, The Dreamers And Me” is Monheit’s ninth CD and will be accompanied by a world tour starting in New York City on release date.
“The Lovers, The Dreamers And Me” features the songs of contemporary songwriters such as Fiona Apple (“Slow Like Honey”), Corrine Bailey Rae (“Like A Star”) and Paul Simon (“I Do It For Your Love”), alongside such jazz and pop classics as Cole Porter’s “Get Out Of Town,” Jimmy Dorsey’s “I’m Glad There Is You,” Leonard Bernstein’s “Lucky To Be Me,” William C. Barnes’ “Something Cool” (the June Christy classic) and the Brazilian gem, “No Tomorrow,” by Ivan Lins.
“I wanted to do something different with this record,” says Monheit, “and so I chose songs that meant a lot to me in many different ways and from a wide range of songwriters and genres – from female artists my age to celebrated legends.”
Accompanying Monheit on “The Lovers, The Dreamers And Me” are long-time Monheit band-members Michael Kanan (piano and Fender Rhodes), Rick Montalbano on drums, and Neal Miner on bass, who were joined on the CD by musicians Peter Bernstein (guitar), Stefon Harris (vibes), Seamus Blake (saxophone), Frank Vignola (guitar), Gil Goldstein (piano, accordion), Romero Lubambo (guitar), Antonio Sanchez (drums), Scott Colley (bass) and Bashiri Johnson on percussion.
Jane Monheit released her debut album, “Never Never Land,” in 2000 which remained on the Billboard Jazz chart for over a year and was voted Best Debut Recording by the members of the Jazz Journalists Association. Her second release, “Come Dream With Me,” came just a year later and landed atop the Billboard Jazz charts and also earned a Grammy nomination for Vince Mendoza for “Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocals” (as did 2003’s “In The Sun” for Mendoza’s Arrangement of “Since You’ve Asked”). Monheit’s 2007 critically-lauded CD, “Surrender,”debuted at number one on the Bilboard Jazz chart as well, and she continues to tour and perform in front of sold-out audiences worldwide. Said Time Magazine of Monheit, “Jane Monheit can’t miss. She has, in a word, everything.”
