Here is the teaser clip for the deluxe edition of Scream Aim Fire from Bullet For My Valentine:
Britain’s metal heroes Bullet For My Valentine will release a deluxe version of their sophomore album, Scream Aim Fire. The limited edition enhanced CD/DVD package will hit stores on December 9, 2008 and includes the original album in its entirety along with four bonus tracks—three new songs (“Road to Nowhere,” “Watching Us Die Tonight,” and “One Good Reason Why”) that are exclusive to the Deluxe Edition, as well as “Ashes of the Innocent,” a track previously available of SAF vinyl and digital download only. The CD also features all 11 Scream Aim Fire mini-comics illustrated by noted underground artist Tom Manning, most of which have never been seen before. On the bonus DVD, fans will find music videos for the title track, “Waking The Demon” and “Hearts Burst Into Fire,” along with five hilarious new episodes of Bullet TV, the band’s long-running series of behind-the-scenes home movies, all filmed and edited by the band members themselves while on tour in Switzerland, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
Scream Aim Fire: Deluxe Edition caps off an exciting year for the foursome Kerrang! Magazine named Best British Band in 2008. Band members Michael Thomas, Jason James, Matt Tuck and Michael Paget have toured worldwide in support of their second Jive album, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart and made the Top 5 in six other countries, Germany and Austria (No. 3), Japan and Australia (No. 4), and the U.K. and Sweden (No. 5). The title track to Scream Aim Fire also landed a coveted spot on the new video game Guitar Hero World Tour.
On the road, the band co-headlined the 2008 Taste of Chaos tour in the U.S. and sold out a trek to Australia in Spring 2008. Their recently completed U.K. tour also sold out in advance and included a tremendous bow at London’s 8,000-seat Alexander Palace, which was filmed for future release as a Hi-Def concert DVD. The band also played the 2008 Reading and Leeds festivals and are currently wrapping a sold out EU tour with plans to take a break for the holidays before hitting the Big Day Out festivals in Australia and New Zealand.
From NME.com:
Billie Joe Armstrong has hinted that their forthcoming new Butch Vig-produced album could take a “power pop” direction.
The frontman did not reveal song titles or details of the songs they are currently working on in the studio, but name-checked The Creation, The Who, The Beatles, Cheap Trick and The Jam as possible influences.
“I really like fucking with arrangements,” Armstrong told Altpress.com. “I always try to look at the possibilities of how you write power-pop music.
“How do you take something - and it could be anything from The Creation and The Who to The Beatles to Cheap Trick to The Jam - and try to expand on the idea of what is supposed to be three-chord mayhem?
“How do you do it in a way where the arrangements are just unpredictable? So I’m pushing myself to be progressive in songwriting and being a songwriter.”
The frontman went on to discuss working with Vig, who produced Nirvana’s seminal grunge album ‘Nevermind’ in 1991. “He doesn’t take for granted what we have here [in the studio],” he said, “but he uses everything to the best of his knowledge and the best of his ability.
“I mean, he gets psyched on a fucking microphone! That’s inspiring. That’s amazing. He’s not a cheerleader type of producer; he’s just a very hard-working, straightforward guy.
“He’s very Midwestern, too. For example, he’ll turn around when you’re working on something and just go, ‘That’s badass.’ And you’re like, ‘What do you mean, ‘badass?’ Is that more bad, or is it, like, ass?’”

For some reason, in March of 2008, Dr. Pepper announced they would give “everyone in America” a free drink if Guns N’ Roses managed to release their long-awaited album ‘Chinese Democracy’ at any point during 2008. This marketing ploy came at a time when, like everyone else on the planet, Dr. Pepper thought a new album by G N’ R was as likely as a new album by all four Beatles. But, lo and behold, the album came out in late November. So Dr. Pepper tried to make good on their promise by putting a coupon on their site, which would be available to download for a full 24 hours. So many people tried to download this coupon that the site crashed, and people were pissed.
And apparently, some people were pissed at the band. People love to blame Axl Rose for everything, and they didn’t disappoint. According to G N’ R’s lawyer, responses on the blog blame Axl for the whole ordeal. Which is where the lawyer comes in. The band has gone public saying they’re not involved in the promotion and want to fix the mess. Dr. Pepper decided to post the coupon for 42 hours, and also set up phone lines for requests. But Guns N’ Roses still wants an apology, and until such time as they receive one, “the door to a lawsuit being filed is always open.” Read more…
