Ryan Adams’ new album, Easy Tiger, is due in stores next week but judging by some of his old habits his steady flow of new music could have easily never happened… Check out this article from The Star Online (which hilariously focuses on anything but his new album save for the last line in the article!):

Ryan Adams has admitted that he was a drug addict, and that he also consumed alcohol in huge amounts.However, he claims that he is now clean after going a cold turkey. He has also been attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

“I snorted heroin a lot - with coke. I did speedballs every day for years. And took pills. And then drank. And I don’t mean a little bit. I always outdid everybody. It’s a miracle I did not die,”

Adams said.

“I was running the risk of becoming one of those people who talks to himself all the time. I was about to walk over this line that there was no coming back from, and I could feel it. I was seeing ghosts and hearing stuff. Having horrible nightmares,” he added.

Adams‘ new album Easy Tiger will be released next week.
