Also known as Ashure, Noah’s pudding has come to be considered a symbol of peace and diversity in the Turkish culture. The dish, which resembles rice pudding, is often distributed to friends, neighbors and fellow community members. It is thought to have originated in the times of Noah’s Ark: when food ran scarce, the scraps of food that remained were mixed together and formed Noah’s Pudding. Turducken: Chicken, Duck and Turkey. This does not sound like something I would try at home:
Begin trussing up the turkey at the neck. Insert metal skewer about 1/2-inch from the edge and up through the other side. Run butcher’s twine between skin and skewer and tighten to draw both sides together. Continue down to legs. With every other skewer, draw together the duck and chicken skin.
