Ice cream is awesome.  Milk shakes equally so.  However, I don’t know anyone who would drink a 2310 calorie milkshake knowingly.  But Baskin-Robbins has decided there’s a market for that type of thing and has created the Heath shake (cleverly nicknamed the “Death” shake…)  I thought it was a joke; I really did.  But to prove it to myself, and to you, here’s the “nutritional info” page of Baskin-Robbins’ website.  Lo and behold the astronomical calorie count of the shake, which constitutes the majority of a healthy adult male’s entire daily caloric intake.  This ain’t no Slim Fast shake.


Krispy Kreme is a relic of carefree days gone by, when taste was tops, and no one even knew what trans fat was. But unfortunately, even the junk food addicts among us (myself included) can’t stomach the ridiculous amount of calories found in a hot, classic glazed Krispy Kreme donut (Mmmmmm donut). It is for that reason the company has been failing in recent years. They’re trying to keep their place in the fast food world, however, by introducing a new soft-serve ice cream to their menu. Is it food, it it art, is it a condiment?  Who’s to say.  Artist Jim Victor uses butter as his sculpting medium (as well as cheese, chocolate, fruits and veggies), and sculpts as he would clay.  By keeping his work studio at a crisp 55 degrees Fahrenheit, Victor says the butter behaves as clay would.  Read more…
