Most commonly recognized as wheat, rye and barley and the flours made from them. This sticky protein can be found disguised in jelly beans, popsicles, soy sauce and in a huge amount of processes foods.

Today, 1 in 133 Americans suffer from celiac disease, and even more are intolerant to this common protein.

Celiac disease is a health condition that affects the small intestine. When the allergen comes into contact with the small intestine it causes the immune system to actually attack the lining of the bowl. This means that the nutrients are not being digested properly, leaving you malnourished.

Someone who is intolerant to gluten may experience symptoms in the mind, skin, guts and more. Common problems are imitable bowel syndrome, general aches and pains, depression, headaches and even obesity.
