Hill and Shard are about to tackle the world’s highest peak in the intimidating Nepalese Himalayan mountain range from March 29 to April 19, 2010. Not only is this a feat to be proud of, but these men are battling Everest and IBD together with the help of IDEAS.
International Disease Education Awareness Center sponsors children and youth with Inflammatory Bowel Diseases to attend summer camps where they learn, grow and share experiences with other children living with these terrible illnesses. IDEAS also provides funds for research to find a cure for IBD.
Raising awareness for IBD is important as the disease affects nearly 200,000 Canadians today. It’s important for people to understand how IBD impacts school, work, exercise – even your social life.
