Am I the only one who has noticed that Johnny Depp speaks with a British accent (even when not on set)…but the dude is so not a Brit…
That’s right, I’m going to show you before and after clips (interviews) to demonstrate my point. I mean honestly, he was born and raised in Owensboro, Kentucky. That’s in the Unites States in case you were wondering.
In fact, in 2003, Depp made stark/controvercial comments about the United States which appeared in a German magazine: “America is dumb, is something like a dumb puppy that has big teeth- that can bite and hurt you, aggressive.”
Johnny…you’re American. Be American!!! God it’s like Downey in Tropic Thunder, but in real life.

I doubt anyone can forget Jim Carrey’s career defining role of Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. This thursday flashback I thought we’d take a look at 10 hilarious gags that made the two-part comedy film series a beloved classic!
My crush began in the Burlington, Vermont airport. I bought a magazine that featured the upcoming bachelor- southern pilot Jake Pavelka.
It was a combination of his good looks, his charm and the fact the he genuinely seemed to believe in true love that had me tuning in for each episode. As the season went on and all of the bachelorettes started falling for Jake I was kicking myself for not having applied to be one of the lucky ladies fighting for his attention.
I did, however, figure that if I couldn’t have him, the girl next door bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky should. When she left the show to return to her job at facebook, I wanted anyone to have him except mean, conniving, immature Vienna Giraldi.
When he asked her for her ring size I was REALLY hoping that it was just to trick us viewers into believing he would end the season by asking her to spend the rest of their life together, but that’s exactly what he did!!
Meeting your crush’s awful girlfriend has always been the best way for me to get over them. I mean if he likes, or worse loves, her, he’s probably not the man I thought he was.

Wow that’s unexpected. Not only is Hollywood going ahead with a smurfs movie, but Neil Patrick Harris has been cast in the disaster masterpiece.
I think it’s pretty fitting that Harris is set to appear as the human character in the hybrid flick which messes both CGI and live action. Think about this, you’d have to be pretty stoned to imagine little blue mushroom people.
Still, announcing that it will follow in the footsteps of Scooby-Do and Alvin and the chipmunks is not a smart move. Those were the cinematic equivalent of dumpster diving! Come on Neil, use your break from doing your TV show to bring back a respectable role like Dr. Horrible!
