The world of comic-book and film geeks can now take a collective breath. Batman 3 (or #7 depending on your perspective) has now been officially confirmed. Even better, Christopher Nolan, the visionary behind Batman Begins and The Dark Knight will be returning to refine and tweak the script, as well as direct the third entry in the re-imagined Batman film series.
Many out there find it interesting (myself included) that this long-awaited confirmation of a new Batman (as well as Nolan’s return) is only now surfacing a few weeks after the earth shattering event of Disney’s 4 Billion dollar buy-out of Marvel Studios. One can only suspect that Batman is the best hope of combating Marvel’s imminent mouse-led invasion of superheroes…
In the hope that Nolan doesn’t strike out under pressure, I would like to take this opportunity to remind him (and everyone else) what the previous Batman series turned into. Watch the following clip to the end, the last part is hilarious!…oh poor Alfred, should have left the series when you had the chance!
