The Italian fashion label, Versace was founded by Gianni Versace in 1978. Since the opening of the first Versace boutique in Milan’s Via della Spiga, Versace designs have become one the world’s leader in fashion.
Versace learned everything from his mother’s small tailor-shop she ran to support the family. The Versace-style is known for its striking colors, materials and cuts. He balances sexiness with professionalism.
Today, the designer label is run by Donatella Versace. She stepped in after her brother was shot to death by american spree killer Andrew Cunanan in 1997.
