Today is the beginning of the Jewish high holiday of Rosh Hashanah. Jews around the world will be celebrating this holiday as it is the beginning of our new year. It is customary to blow the Shofar (rams horn) to signify the new year. It is also customary to spend time with family and friends and celebrate with lots of sweet and delicious foods like apples and honey, which are meant to bring a happy, healthy and prosperous new year.
