Bobby Rahal is an American race car driver whose career began in the 1970s. Racing was in his blood from a young age – his father was an accomplished racer, as well – and he got his first taste early. By 1975, he was racing in the Canadian Formula Atlantic series alongside racing greats such as Gilles Villeneuve. During his career, he won the Indianapolis 500 in 1986, and was also a champ car champion three times over. Following his retirement in 1998, he has stayed involved in the sport in an ownership capacity. Norway had the idea to ban gas cars by 2015. To be more specific, they out forth a plan that would prohibit the sale of cars that run only on gas. Cars already on the road would not be affected. Hybrids that run partially on gas would still be okay.
The plan, put forth initially by the country’s finance minister (from the Socialist Left Party), is apparently thought of as crazy by the majority of the country, and is opposed by the opposition.
