That’s right; Victoria Beckham has joined forces with Land Rover for collaboration on the brand new baby Range Rover, the Evoque.

Playing into the coupe SUV game that so many manufacturers have joined in as of late, and in celebration of 40 years on the road, Land Rover unveiled the Evoque to an eager crowd in London just a few days ago. The vehicle looks absolutely fantastic, if not a bit like an Acura ZDX; but I can’t help but wonder if Land Rover is giving up what Land Rover is really all about.

While there are no official specs as of yet, it has been revealed that the Evoque will be offered as a front-wheel drive model for buyers who are more interested in fuel economy than off-roading capabilities.

Now, hang on here. A front-wheel drive Range Rover; something is terribly wrong with that sentence. The whole heart and soul of a Land Rover vehicle is its uncanny ability to go wherever it pleases. And now they’re releasing a vehicle that’s all about the look instead of the substance.

Victoria Beckham definitely had a hand in the design.

And she actually did. And in all honesty, the design of the Evoque is pretty stunning. Now, will it look like that when it hits the road in the future? Who knows. I find it rather amusing that the front end actually kind of looks like Victoria’s face — all angular and a bit alien.

But enough about that. We haven’t had a chance to scope out the Evoque yet, but we did
