A sea of complaints are now coming in from terrified consumers who have had their Toyota vehicles repaired. Apparently, their vehicles begin to accelerate out of control despite the recall which saw the implementation of a an extra piece of metal in the pedal assembly.
This isn’t good news for worried motorists (Toyota and non-Toyota alike). Now the Japanese car company must face the fact that they may have just instituted a recall of 8 million vehicles globally in vain.
In total, crashes linked to the defective vehicles have resulted in 43 crashes (52 deaths and 38 injuries).
