Via Techdirt, how over 50% of mobile execs don’t use what they sell.

WatchMojo.com has partnered with 6 wireless companies and I have a fuzzy sense of what each one does based on what they tell me and their “decks” suggest they do, or mainly, what they want to do in a few years time… but the point is, if you remove their names and blindfold me and described to me what each one does in the field, I’d have no freaking clue.

I should not admit to that. I should go on with the big charade and pretend to be some big freakin’ wireless guru but I am not kidding you when I say that there is very little clarity in wireless entertainment, mobile content and advertising.

Wireless entertainment is supposed to be this huge booming opportunity, and it very well might, but if it does become that, it’s because we fell ass backwards into it.

Don’t get me wrong, wireless executives, employees in the space are some of the most risk-taking, big-thinking folks out there - you have to love pain to be in the sector these days - but I am pretty sure they too don’t know what their companies are actually doing, because once they find out, the master plan changes on the strengths on the latest eye-raising study.
