Last week, Google hinted that Google Docs was about to launch an answer to MSFT’s Powerpoint.
I said that was nice and dandy, but it was hard to take Google Docs seriously until they capped doc size to 500 KB, for starters. Nonetheless, Google gets a lot of good PR and all, but they have a long way of having any impact on MSFT’s core productivity system.
Today Yahoo! somewhat jumped ahead of Google with the $350M acquisition of Zimbra. The company had raised $30.5M so this is a nice return for the VCs.
Surely Zoho is taking notes, it will be interesting to see where they will end up.
