So, here’s to hoping that Hewlett Packard does not read this, cause they actually have my fax/printer in hand, trying to fix it.
But I wanted to update you on my little saga with HP. For some background, click here.
In a nutshell, they replaced my defective fax/printer with another defective fax/printer.
Like I said, I am getting a bit sick and tired of all of the magazines and business leaders talking about innovation and how important it is to be creative and all when they should be stressing common sense and service.
All to say, fix my freaking printer and fax machine so I can send this piece of crap you sent me back to you.
This past weekend, I went through another piece of corporate nonsense with Fedex. Man, I admire the company’s founder, Fred Smith, that story about his company being down to its last payroll and him flying to Vegas is stuff of corporate legends (though sadly, not true according to Wikipedia, though this article by Business Week suggests it was), but some of the staff there need an injection of common sense and candor… but I’ll spare you that until I get my shipment, at which point I will tell you why and how some of Smith’s staff are on crack.
