Top 3 Things You Missed at Last Night’s 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards

We only get to see the music industry’s biggest stars all together for only a few nights throughout the year, and last night’s iHeartRadio Music Awards brought stars in spades. The event, which awards musicians based on listener feedback as well as airplay numbers, saw some insane performances as well as huge upsets across the evening. #3 – Cardi B Performs a Medley to Open the Show

Who else could open the event than the biggest up and coming name to the rap world. Cardi B performed a medley of five of her hottest tracks to open the show, and even brought out G-Eazy to perform their hit “No Limit”. Of course, Cardi wouldn’t be done here for the night, as she took home two awards and even announced that her long awaited debut album will be released in April!

#2 – N.E.R.D. Closes the Show

Bookending the other end of the show, N.E.R.D. brought out their smash hit track, “Lemon” to the iHeartRadio stage sans-Rihanna, but still brought a whole lot of energy to create a finale not to forget. This bouncy track only felt grander on a large stage and showcased why this influential hip hop group is one of the most game changing in the industry.

#1 – Bon Jovi is Back?

Taking home the iHeartRadio Icon Award deservedly, legendary American rock band Bon Jovi solidified their status as a cultural phenomenon after performing two of their biggest hits, “It’s My Life” and “You Give Love a Bad Name” during the broadcast. Not only did the band kill it on stage, but the performance was so epic, that it caused their 2016 album, This House Is Not for Sale, to re-chart at number one on the Billboard 200.
